Safmat is a product that has built up a strong and loyal following over the years, particularly among students and graphic designers (you can buy Safmat direct from Letraset).
Earlier this year Safmat was given a brand new look and we sent samples to crafters & scrapbookers to see what they could come up with (if you missed the post earlier in the year you can see it HERE).
Since then we’ve still been receiving lots of exciting & inventive projects and ideas. Here are just a few of them:
Window Decals
As part of her review of Safmat at Craft Critique, Anam Stubbington came up with several great ideas including making your own customised window decals. Just print out your design in reverse and stick to the inside of your window. This makes a great project for children and can be easily removed and replaced as often (or as little) as you like! Check out the original article at Craft Critique for more great Safmat usage ideas from Anam.
Personalised Photo Frame
From just a cheap photo frame, Lis-M has used Safmat to create a fabulous gift. Lis has used Safmat to print out a verse and applied it to the center of the glass and also added flowers printed onto Safmat from the Polka Doodles ‘A Double Sprinkle of Kraft’ CD. Remember you can choose any text of designs you want, so the possibilities are endless. Now the hard part is deciding which picture to put inside!
Safmat Seed Pouches
Ruth at Tiptoptoppers made these Seed Pouches from A4 sheets of Acetate and then printed the flower images & the gingham ribbon onto Safmat. All of the images and the original seed packet template can be found on the Polka Doodles Sundae of Seasons CD.
To finish off, Ruth added some garden twine, tied in a bow.
Safmat Lantern
MichelleO got in touch to show us her fab Safmat Lantern. Michelle coloured four different images and then scanned them into her computer, re-printing them onto Safmat to match the size of the glass windows on the Lantern. Trim the images to size and apply them to the glass on each side of the Lantern and the transformation is complete!

Light the candle inside for a beautiful 'stained glass window' effect.
