Altered iPad case using New Neon Markers

Hi friends! I’m really excited for today’s post. Not only has Letraset introduced NEW colors- but, they’re NEON too! I love bright colors, and had a project already in mind when I saw them! I have this white (plain and boring) case for my iPad. So I got to work… doodling…

And that’s what I came up with. My iPad case is from Mobile Expressions. I purchased it from Target in the States. I’m not 100% on the material, it’s smooth, similar to leather. It was very easy to work on with the markers- even being water based. I left the bottom part blank as I usually carry it at the bottom.

I took photos of the case a few days after I had doodled on it- I didn’t seal what I had done with glue or hairspray. I wanted to see how it would fair. So far, so good. When I was doodling, I was able to ‘erase’ anything I didn’t like with a baby wipe, you could also use a wet paper towel. For smaller areas, and finer detail, you could use a wet paint brush. I love how bright the colors are, and how they really pop against the white! They also blend really well too- with other AquaMarkers.

I have a lot of other things I’ve been working on as well. I have a video tutorial on my blog about how to color a Flamingo, and a pictorial on coloring a fall scene, I’d love it if you had a look!

I can’t wait to see how you use Letraset’s new Neon Makers. Feel free to comment with links to your projects!
